Seats at ACT Test Centers Going, Going, Gone!

The good news for ACT, Inc is that their offering, the eponymous ACT, is the runaway first choice of students nationwide this year. The bad news for students is that the ACT is experiencing growing pains. Currently those symptoms are presenting as delayed scoring of the new essay for the fall test dates, which primarily affects 12th graders. In the spring, our concern is that the ACT test centers here in CA (and other areas where the SAT had historically been more popular) will run out of seats. We always encourage our 11th grade clients to finalize test dates early anyway, and this advance planning will be especially important this year.
